    Clermont, Florida is known as the "Gem of the Hills" and is located in the central part of the state just 25 miles west of Orlando in Lake County. The city of Clermont lies along the shore of an 11-lake chain. These beautiful lakes range in size from 20 to 3,634 acres. Lake Minneola (1,888 acres) is at the center of the chain. Citrus Tower Centre is an attraction that most Floridians have visited at one time in their life. It is a 226-foot tall tower with an observation deck that provides a panorama view of the surrounding lakes and rolling hills. Another popular place is the Presidents Hall of Fame featuring changing exhibits of memorabilia related to US presidents. Among the displays are campaign and inaugural artifacts, replicas of Presidential china place settings, first ladies' evening gowns, and a duplicate miniature model of the White House.

The nearby town of Windermere, Florida is located just between the cities of Orlando and Winter Garden, and only about six miles away from the world-renowned destination of Walt Disney World. This beautiful town is surrounded on all sides by spectacular sandy bottomed lakes known as the Butler Chain. With sparkling waters all around, Windermere is a residential community of the highest caliber. Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards opened its doors in February 1989 in Clermont, Florida. This area was once the center of the State's grape industry. After ten years of phenomenal growth, Lakeridge ranks as Florida's largest premium winery, and remains a pioneer in the development of table and sparkling wines from hybrid grapes. In 2001, more than 90,000 people visited the winery, enjoyed the extensive sampling room, and explored the gift shop.

The Palisades Golf Course features par 72, 7004-yard course and four sets of tees to accommodate all levels of play. Holes hug the shores of Spring Lake, then climb 80 plus feet from tee to green, providing panoramic views from one of the highest points overlooking Lake Minneola. The city of Clermont has beautifully renovated their local lake Jaycee Beach area to accommodate the Clermont Triathlon and the new Rails to Trails bike trail which extends from Clermont to Ocoee.

The Lake County School District serves the Clermont community. There are four elementary schools within the area, one middle school and one high school. These fine schools meet the educational needs of 6,155 students. The district prides itself in having higher graduation rates and lower dropout rates than the state average. Scores across the board on standardized state and national exams are higher than averages showing the strong education foundation area students receive.

With such close proximity to Orlando and with all of the new local development underway, the growing community of Clermont offers residents a slow peaceful pace of living with all of the amenities of a big city at their fingertips.
